Cuartero, Capiz is situated in Visayas, Philippines. From October 2017, Allied World Healthcare (AWH) has begun working with the local Rural Health Unit (RHU), municipal and barangay officials, and residents – who’ve warmly welcomed the partnership with Allied World Healthcare aiming at helping them reach underserved parts of their community, streamlining referrals process, improving proactive public health, and enabling access to affordable medicines.
A soft launch on October 13 was held at Barangay Poblacion-Ilaya, Cuartero. This was supported by 15 RHU nurses, barangay health workers, officials, and PwC Consulting (a world-leading, global consulting firm). More than 100 residents attendeed the 2-hour profiling event, learnt about the AWH-RHU partnership, and were profiled to help beter understand their healthcare needs. As a result, another community engagement event onboarded on a medical mission was held on November 4 with around 100 residents attending.
To continue in championing Curis in the area, two young residents of Brgy. Poblacion-Ilaya now serve as their Community Access Managers. Both of them are now reaching out to residents of Cuartero introduce Curis, and will be working closely with AWH in addressing health issues in the area.
Cuartero, Capiz is the first launch site of AWH in the Visayas region. Madamo nga salamat sa pagbaton!
