Allied World Healthcare has formally appointed Willis Towers Watson, one of the world's leading and largest insurance brokers, to advise on low-cost community group health insurance products for low- and middle-income customers in the Philippines (with a view to moving to other countries in South East Asia in 2018 and beyond).
As part of this appointment, Willis Towers Watson will provide technical expertise and negotiate with insurers to accelerate the development of this bespoke product, and strategically engage with a range of other ecosystem partners to ensure that all existing finance channels (such as PhilHealth - the Philippines social health insurance scheme) are taken into account and not re-priced.
By working together, AWH can further its mission to deliver healthcare everywhere through reducing fluctuating out-of-pocket healthcare expenditure through 'filling the gaps' in existing healthcare coverage.
